Dr. Katie graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Nutrition Science and then attended naturopathic medical school at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. Shortly after graduation Dr. Katie joined the staff of Bloomington Wellness Center in 2012 (then still known as Bloomington Family Chiropractic). After two years of practice, sharing her talents with a number of clinics through out the area, Dr. Katie began working in her own practice exclusively. In 2015 Dr. Katie rejoined BWC through our innovative Virtual Naturopath service, while continuing in private practice.

Naturopaths attend a 4 year post-baccalaureate medical school and focus their study on treatments to uncover the root cause of disease using cutting edge natural therapies as their main treatment modality. Dr. Katie’s natural family practice is focused on conditions such as; women’s health concerns, digestive complaints, infertility, anxiety, depression, and weight loss. Treatment is individualized and you are never rushed in working with Dr. Katie, assuring success in optimizing your health.

Dr. Katie is passionate about nutrition and holistic health. She feels the diet can have a huge impact on health. Women, men, and children looking for an alternative method of health care can find natural treatments and preventative options through Naturopathic Medicine. Many of our health problems stem from underlying issues; whether it be an imbalance physically, mentally, or emotionally. Naturopathic Medicine offers a unique approach to uncovering the cause of illness and creating individualized treatments. Dr. Katie uses cutting edge natural medicine to provide positive outcomes. Lab testing may be recommended and necessary physical exams conducted, assuring a comprehensive diagnosis.

Whether you are frustrated with the conventional medical system, on medications, or just looking to improve your health and prevent disease; Dr. Katie will be there to guide you towards your optimal health goals. Your health goals will be discussed and an individualized treatment plan that may include a diet plan, nutritional supplements, and home care recommendations will be developed.

We hope that Naturopathic medicine, Dr. Katie and BWC’s virtual-wellness become a step on the path to your health and wellness.
